Trouble with fonts PP#16
I have a hard time trying to pick a font that I plan on using within the film, along with the postcard advertisement. You might remember that in a previous blog post I used a sort of retro-style font, popular amongst old arcade cabinets. It looks like this.
It's a classic, but I really don't feel it fits the vibe of my film. It's like, too old in my opinion. I want something more futuristic that is reflective of what the film is about. Considering how there is VR in my title, I just don't see this font mixing well with the modern connotation of my film. With that, I need to go hunting... for fonts.
There's this website called fontspace.com. Super cool stuff, especially since it's a generator, where you input the text and it spews back the fonts it could work with. I took to google, researched video game fonts, and went away.
I fuck with this one super hard. It's so... modern? I don't know how to say it. It's like the right amount of simplicity to show whats being told, while also allowing the text to be read. Hold on imma try all capitals.
Also, love this font. I like the glitch effect to it, which also alludes to the story of the film considering how the main character gets a VR headset from the dark web, which could have glitches inside of it.
Lot more futuristic here, which is also nice. Definitely gonna consider this one.

This one is reminiscent of code, like in the Matrix, which would look nice for my film. All these look cool. Now comes the hard part. Choosing. Imma continue to go through more. I'll update you guys when I'm done!
